Mali: Outdoor beauty salons

We’re inside the big street market in Bamako. It’s 10 in the morning. The Mohamed 5 Avenue welcomes dozens of outdoor beauty salons. Léa is 29 years old and she’s been a hair dresser for almost 3 years. She comes and works in this shop boutique which used to sell strands of hair and now was transformed into a hairdresser’s. The customers are called out loud.
