Kinshasa zoo garden

The Kinshasa Zoo garden, created in 1993 is now giving up the ghost. Only 153 specimen remain, at the time of its creation there were about 600 of those. It’s in total decay!With an average area of 7 hectares, the Kinshasa Zoo garden is the biggest and oldest zoo in Africa. 79 mammals, 41 birds and 33 reptiles. Not enough to draw crowds. The zoo barely gets100 visitors a day! At least the schools of the capital regularly send classes to the zoo.The Director of the Kinshasa Zoo garden is facing huge difficulties in his day-to-day management.
